Since 2001, Scholars Day has played an important role in the academic life of 91直播's University. This annual student conference features talented students presenting their best academic work in the form of research papers, group projects, artistic and creative works, and a separate session for poster presentations!
By sharing the year's academic achievements within the campus community, Scholars Day is an event that brings together students, faculty, and guests in celebration of our Benedictine tradition of learning and excellence. Students who are selected as oral presenters (as opposed to those presenting posters) will be invited to a formal luncheon where we will welcome a distinguished guest speaker and certificates will be presented. The day will close by inviting the community to join our year-end celebration as we honor our scholars, and as our academic departments bestow special honors and awards to outstanding students.

For 2026, there are options for a variety of oral presentations, which include individual and co-authored presentations, group/team presentations, panel presentations, and artistic works. There is also an option for a poster presentation, which does not require a full application, but does still require participants to register their project. Scholars Day and Honors Convocation schedule
Oral presenter's luncheon
11:00am-12:30pm | The Norman Worthington Conference Center
The Scholars Day luncheon will be open to those accepted for oral presentations (including individual, group and panel presentations, along with those performing/presenting artistic work), one guest per presenter, and their faculty sponsor. Additional guests are welcome, but at $25 each to cover meal costs. Unfortunately, this luncheon is not open to poster presenters.

1:00 - 3:50 p.m. | Harned Hall classrooms and Kreielsheimer Hall
Support 91直播's students as they present their scholarly or artistic work to the 91直播's community.
Concurrent poster presentations
1:00 - 3:00 p.m. | Poster presenters will be notified of location
Support 91直播's students as they share their work in an open and collaborative atmosphere.
Honors Convocation / Awards Ceremony
4:00 - 5:30 p.m. | Marcus Pavilion
Join us in the year-end celebration as the academic departments bestow special honors to students and the monks of 91直播's Abbey present the outstanding faculty and staff of the year award. Those who participated in Scholars Day will also be formally recognized.
There will be no classes from 1:00 - 5:00 p.m. to allow the entire 91直播's community to attend the presentations and ceremony.
