Sophie Fast, from Tualatin, Oregon, is transferring from Eastern Oregon University, where she studied business and played on the women鈥檚 volleyball team. Fast will continue her studies in business at 91直播鈥檚, while also joining the University鈥檚 volleyball program. When she was offered a spot on the 91直播鈥檚 University volleyball team, she jumped at the chance to be part of a great team and study with a business department that provides a lot of opportunities.  She plans to pursue a Master of Business Administration after earning her undergraduate degree and ultimately hopes to launch her own business. Fast is grateful for the opportunity the Trustee Scholarship has given her to grow both academically and athletically at 91直播鈥檚.

Bailey Lonergan, originally from Chicago, Illinois, has spent most of her life in Tacoma, Washington, and is transferring from Tacoma Community College with a direct transfer degree in pre-nursing. She will continue her path toward a Bachelor of Science in Nursing at 91直播鈥檚. Lonergan describes education as a lifelong privilege and is excited to study in a field where she can apply science in meaningful ways. She looks forward to learning from new instructors and peers, deepening her understanding of the Benedictine values and becoming an active part of the 91直播鈥檚 community. Outside the classroom, she enjoys yoga, baking, thrifting, exploring new coffee shops and spending time with loved ones. Lonergan says it is an honor to receive this award in support of her educational journey, and anticipates integrating the Benedictine Values she will study here throughout her career.

Julissa Naples, from Aberdeen, Washington, is transferring from Grays Harbor College, where she completed her pre-nursing degree. At 91直播鈥檚, she will pursue a Bachelor of Science in Nursing with aspirations to become a registered nurse. She hopes to work in an operating room and eventually as a First Assist nurse or serve as a community health nurse providing care and access to underserved populations. Naples is passionate about ensuring equitable healthcare access and looks forward to connecting with new peers and faculty during her time at 91直播鈥檚. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, going to the beach, discovering new restaurants and spending time with family.

The Trustee Scholarship is awarded to students transferring to 91直播鈥檚 University from a community college or university with junior academic standing and a minimum GPA of 3.5. Each recipient receives a $30,000 scholarship, which is renewable for a second year of study.
